Safe Paws have been dog boarding for over 10 years now with wonderful home boarders throughout Edinburgh. Most are retired professionals who are always at home to care for their “foster” dogs with long walks in the countryside and cosy evenings snuggled up beside the fire.
Let us make sure your dog has a fun and happy stay with us, content in the knowledge they are in safe paws!
How do I arrange Dog Boarding in Edinburgh?
Just give the office a little call (730am-6pm Monday to Friday) where we will take some information about your dog in order to find you the right dog boarder. You then go and meet your selected home boarder at their home (please bring your current vaccination card) at a time convenient to you. Your dog boarder will give you a dog boarding contract to complete prior to your boarding, remember to bring this with you when you drop your dog off. If you are then happy just give the office a call to confirm this, payment will then be taken (over the phone) for your booking to be confirmed and your place officially booked.
How does Dog Home Boarding work?
After you have met your home boarder you then arrange a time to drop your dog off with them. Once you drop your dog off take with you his/her bed, lead, toys, food, treats, bowls and maybe a jumper or something similar with your smell on it to help them settle. Make sure to take a note of your boarders telephone number so you can keep up to date with how your dog is getting on. We can also arrange to skype call/facetime you (if available) when you are away, speak to your boarder about this to make sure they are able to do this for you. Remember to bring your home boarding contract and your vaccination card with you on drop off. You can then go off on your holiday without any concerns, safe in the knowledge your furry is in Safe Paws!
